Smooth Polished Moonstone Pendant on Dark Electroformed Copper

This beautiful one of a kind smooth polished moonstone is mysterious and beautiful. The process I used to create the piece is called electroforming. Electroforming creates vastly unique and organic jewelry which can never be predicted or duplicated. This specific piece took 48 hours to slowly encase the crystal in raw copper by constantly adjusting electrical currents passed through an electrolyte bath. Once I was satisfied with the heavily textured formed piece, the pendant was sanded, tumbled, and polished. I gave the pendant a dark patina wash to give it an aged look. The pendant hangs on a 18" long gunmetal chain (with copper accents) that securely fastens with a lobster clasp.

The pendant measures approximately 1.25" from the top of the ring to the bottom of the point.
